What is the reaction Injection molding ?

Reaction injection molding, shorted as RIM. It is a process applied to rapid tooling production that 2 liquid components are mixed and injected into the mold where they chemically react and cure in a low pressure and room temperature environment, which forms the polyurethane polymer parts. RIM process is applicable to small batch trial production, as well as the low-volume production of panel parts with simple structure, thick-wall or uneven- wall products.

The reaction injection molding materials include: two-component polyurethane material.

Physical properties: similar to PP/ABS, anti-aging, strong impact resistance, corrosion resistance and so on.

The advantages : Short production cycle, High production efficiency and low cost.
